Freedom Reins, LLC is the preferred resource for equine assisted therapy and related services in the greater Fox Valley area.
We are excited to announce new programming for area youth! A six week series of equine assisted learning sessions will facilitate improvement in the emotional and behavioral health of adolescents. Each session is uniquely designed to address issues facing specific populations:
Adolescent girls ages 12-15: assertiveness, healthy boundaries, choices, self-care and body image
Adolescent males ages 12-17: emotional management, problem solving, social skills, obstacles and distractions
Young women ages 16-17: independent living skills, effective communication, exploring values and choices
- Six week series one time per week for two hours.
- Group size is limited to ten participants.
- Cost is $25.00 per person per group.
- Participants must wear closed toe shoes.
Equine assisted learning is not about riding or horsemanship. The activities take place on the ground. The horses give immediate and honest feedback creating metaphors for learning. No previous experience with horses is necessary.
